Leaving on a Jet Plane . . .

We arrived in Philadelphia last night after a few changes in plans. We were unable to get on one of the early morning flights, so we flew in last night and stayed at a hotel and will now take tonight's flight to Amsterdam from here. The kids did pretty well. It was somewhat a challenge to get our 8 bags checked in and then our 6 carry-ons through security but my mom was able to walk us all the way to the gate with Ashlyn so we had a few extra hands. Also, a very nice worker for US Air arranged our seats so that we had an entire row so they could roam a bit. Kaylie's favorite feeling was when the plane took off, she said it felt like the roller coaster that goes up and then falls. My favorite moment was when Kaylie said while we were looking out the window - "It's like a whole world of cotton candy!" Keiric reached over and grabbed Jeremy's hand when we took off - it was so cute!

I am so grateful that we get to share this experience with the kids!

So, we are off tonight and will land in Amsterdam at 8:25 am Wednesday morning (which is late Tuesday night for most of you!) I hope that from there we can all get back to our "new" house, we might have to send a few of us on the train - we brought A LOT of luggage! Hopefully we don't give the Chapmans, who are picking us up, a heart attack!
