Last week at Awana, during the final night Jeremy and I were invited with the rest of the parents to see what the kids had worked so hard on and to see them be presented with the awards they had achieved. I am so glad that our kids have the opportunity to be part of a program like Awana. It is amazing to hear our daughter recite verses from the Bible and we are all learning the verses together as we practice them. Kaylie was presented with her first book award. As a SPARK, she had finished her first book and because she had learned them so well, was able to go back through and recite all of the verses a second time to achieve a review patch. We are proud of our girl and excited that the church is going to send her 1st grade material with us so that she won't get behind while we are in Holland.
