Bad news; Good news

Bad News: We have had a casualty in our family. Our Nintendo Wii is dead.

We have no idea what happened; it was working Saturday morning, and when we went to play for the youth event Saturday night, it refused to turn on. What's worse is that the new Star Wars game is still locked inside. Jeremy is going through a period of grieving as we try to figure out how to handle the situation. We think it is still under warranty, so we are trying to figure out the best way to get it to the U.S. Nintendo repair department and back. As for the youth, they had a great time, even without the video game, and we played our first game of "Mean Uno" since we left the States. It was really fun to get to know the youth in a more relaxed and social environment, and see how they interact together. It is a great group.

For the Good news: we had our appointment with immigration yesterday and it seemed to go really well. They took our application, and I think that we finally had all the paperwork they needed. The fees were also less than they had originally quoted us, and were more inline with the budget that we had planned on. Praise God for working in the situation. We were able to work with the same woman we had seen on our first trip down there, and though she didn't really remember us, it did seem to help. Now we wait for their decision, but in the meantime we have a stamp in our passports that says we can stay until April 8th, which is when they have to give us a decision. We are praying that our paperwork is looked at by the right individual and that it is quickly approved for all of us. Afterwards we celebrated by taking the kids into nearby Amsterdam where we walked around a bit and then had McDonald's. It was such a relief to have all that paperwork completed!
