Lately

During the last weeks we have jumped back into our pre-Christmas schedules, with a few added responsibilities, and the days and weeks are going by so quickly. Jeremy and I continue to build vocabulary and relationships in our Dutch classes, I have my International Women's Bible Study Tuesday mornings, which I have recently been asked to assist in leading, and we both have our church Bible Study Tuesday night (which Jeremy is now preparing for and leading). Also, on Tuesdays, Jeremy goes to "The Mall," a Youth For Christ Outreach that he has been volunteering with. Wednesdays, Kaylie has a half day at school, and so we fill up our days close to home and meeting with people in the neighborhood. Every other Friday I have my quilting group, and we also often meet with friends in the evening. Saturdays usually hold a variety of activities, sometimes the prayer meeting in town, meeting with friends, catching up on household chores, and always grocery shopping (since EVERYTHING is closed on Sundays!). We also continue to mentor with the youth cell every other Saturday evening. Sundays we have church, of course, and then have company for lunch or we go to the English church in the afternoon.

This last Saturday night we were able to have 2 of my classmates over for dinner and games. They are from Poland, and we had interesting conversations comparing America, Holland, and Poland. On Sunday, we also had 2 of friends from church over for lunch and to play the Wii - Jeremy's favorite fellowship tool - and we had a great time chatting and hanging out. They too feel the need to prayerwalk this city and had begun to do so before we arrived, and they pass out tracts as they go. Their goal is to put a tract in every mail box (without the "no soliciting" sign) in our city. They also gave a stack of the tracts written in Dutch to us to use. God has really impacted their hearts to do this, and we are excited to see how this can affect the Kingdom.

I truly cannot believe that it is already February! This year is going by so quickly. It is very bittersweet.
